Cookies Policy

Last updated: 17 June 2026.

In short

re-wise uses the minimum cookies needed to keep you signed in and your draft answers safe. We do not use advertising, cross-site tracking, or profiling cookies. We do not sell data and we never train external models on your account information.

What we use

  • Session cookies — set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in securely. They expire on sign-out or after a period of inactivity.
  • Preference cookies — remember small choices (your layout, music, whether you've completed the welcome tour) for the next time you visit.
  • CSRF protection — a short-lived cookie that helps stop someone tricking your browser into submitting forms on your behalf.

Local storage

Some things stay on your own device (not on our servers): your draft answers, your mind-map plans, your music preference, and whether you've seen the welcome tips. Clearing your browser's site data will reset these.

Analytics

We don't use third-party advertising or fingerprinting analytics today. If we add privacy-friendly product analytics later (server-side, aggregated, no individual tracking), we'll describe them here first and surface a clear opt-out.

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies any time in your browser settings — you'll be signed out and a few preferences will reset, but the app will work normally on your next sign-in.

More on data

What we collect and how we use it is in the Privacy Policy, including our promise that Pip and our engine retrieve only from approved licensed curriculum and tutor-owned material — never from copyrighted scraped content.
